Applied teams for the 3rd Koper Cup

The preparations for the 3rd Koper Handball Cup - International Easter handball tournament are progressing at full speed. Last year Koper as a host of the tournament has shined the brightest. The participants of the 2nd Koper Handball Cup convince themselves about Koper's perfect conditions for organizing such international event: the best sports infrastructure, a big number of accommodation choices and the pleasant Mediterranian ambient. That's why we are sure there will be even more teams from all over the world participating in the 3rd Koper Handball Cup. Our belief is proved by the number of teams that are interested in the tournament and those that already applied.

We are introducing to you the teams/clubs that already applied for the 3rd Koper Handball Cup:




The club VÖSLAUER HC plays in the Austrian League for 70 years. This season men are playing in the 2nd Austrian National League and they will place themselves into the playoffs which will take them to play into the 1st  League.

Girls under 13 years old are playing in Lower Austria League and are currently in 5th place.

At the 24th Eurofest, the head coaches Stundner Anna and Niederhametner Martin will bring the following team:

RD Rudar Trbovlje (SLOVENIA)


At the moment in RD Rudar there are 5 selections that practice and compete(from mini handball to the senior team). All teams are formed with players from hometown that compete very well in the national league. Some of the selections have players that are in the Slovenian national team. The seniors are currently in the 2nd Slovenian league and are fighting for the spot in the 1st Slovenian league. The boys born in 1999 took 2nd place at the international tournament in Prešov (SLV).

This year RD Rudar will participate with the team of players born in 2002 and 2004.

This year the team of boys born in 2002 is coached by Jaka Keše. He is an experienced coach of younger selections and established coach of senior teams. He began coaching the team this year and successfully started the season. 

For the team of boys born in 2002 will play: Nik Jager, Luka Petek, Andraž Skvarč, Jernej Kink, Nejc Urdih, Nejc Žagar, Jošt Naglav, Luka Markošek, Domen Leskovšek, Nejc Sardinšek, Gašper Nemet, Črt Drobnič, Žiga Božič, Nejc Pistotnik and Lin Maselj.


This year the team of boys born in 2004 is coached by Uroš Drobnič. He is also an experienced coach of younger teams and has the coaching experience from the 1st A Slovenian league. He is also the club president. He took over the the team this year and is guiding them towards system that is made for national league. This team is formed by the following players: Vid Jager, Matija Omahen, Andraž Stanič, Blaž Kaluder, Tim Doma, Marko Milinovič, Jasmin Škrgič, Matjaž Barovič, Vid Oražem, Enej Pleša, Ali Rizvić and  Adis Kobinović.
